I say “Welcome to Adana” to all of our guests who are the participants of European Wheelchair Basketball Championship.

European Wheelchair Basketball Championship will be organized during 5-15th of October 2009 in Adana with the participations from twelve countries. We, the city of Adana, are proud too much that European Wheelchair Basketball Championship will be organized in Adana.

This organization is not just a sport organization according to our point of view. It is an important social event because the representatives and players from twelve countries may come together and have cultural, social sharing.

The Championship is very important in terms of showing there are not any obstacles to live together and reminding social responsibilities to the Turkish public opinion and world wide public opinion.

This organization is going to be the coming together point of twelve European countries. The messages about the “Important of brotherhood” and “There are not any obstacles to live together” are going to be proclaimed to the World from our city of Adana which was the home of many civilizations in old times and which is full of many historical, natural beauties.

Our city of Adana is a city which is the center of a green and abundant plain which was established at the hillsides of Toros Mountains. Our city is the center of cultural activities, shopping, energy, education, business, health, recreation, sport and tourism. Adana is a center which is the center of attraction of Mediterranean region.

I wish you happy moments and days during your accommodation in Adana. We will be happy to entertain you in the traditional Adana hospitality and to share the beauties of our city with you.

It is going to be a source of happiness if you can leave our city with the fine feelings and can remember the organization as beautiful memory.
